Working visit to the Port of Oran
As part of efforts to monitor port activities and enhance their performance, the Port of Oran hosted a working visit by the Secretary General of the Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, accompanied by the Director General of Merchant Shipping and Ports and the Chief Executive Officer of the Serport Group. The delegation was received by the Chief Executive Officer of the Port of Oran Authority, alongside the Authority’s senior management, in the presence of representatives from various bodies and departments involved in the port system. The meeting included a detailed presentation on the key indicators and results achieved during 2025, which were commended by the delegation, as well as a presentation on the development plan for the Port of Oran looking ahead to 2035. The visit also provided an opportunity to exchange views on ways to improve the port’s performance and enhance its operational efficiency, by addressing the concerns raised and working to overcome the difficulties encountered. In this context, the Secretary-General of the Ministry, the Director-General of Merchant Shipping and Ports, and the President Director General of the Serport Group all confirmed their readiness to support the Port of Oran Authority in overcoming various challenges and enhancing the efficiency of its operations. The visit concluded with a site visit that took the delegation to the port’s various facilities and infrastructure.
